What it does
Classifies the monster, or the wearer of the item, as human: it can be harmed by weapons and spells restricted to affecting humans, and it leaves a human corpse behind when it dies.

A weapon with an affect… restriction only harms matching targets: affectundead requires the undead flag, affectanimal the animal flag, and affectmale / affectfemale check the being's sex (female marks a monster or item wearer as female). affecthuman is the odd one out — the manual says it keys on the res_convert attribute rather than the human flag.
