According to the old ways this is a blessing of Gaia and the young foal was supposed to receive training by the dryads as a sacred warrior or a Hierophant, a priest of the old ways.  The Hierophants followed their dryad queens and led our people in accordance with the old ways.  Now their influence has dwindled as has their use."
