The ants are usually more than a match for any creature their own size, so do not bet on a dog in a dog vs. ant fight.^ Their powerful carapaces are a highly sought after material by many adventurers who prefer it over steel or iron. However, being rather difficult to manipulate and reshape, they are often made into scale-like armors.^ The ants seem to prefer to fight in formation, which is odd as their natural habitat are the narrow passages of the ant hill in which they live and fight in the defense of. This requires further research and I have asked for a stipend to capture 20 or so soldier ants, which I will compel to fight other creatures under various circumstances in the arena.^ Note to self.
