Markata monster 1643

newmonster "Markata"
descr "When dealing with the almost human-like Vanara, you are prone to think that the monkey peoples are almost civilized, but this impression will soon fade. When you finish your business with the human-sized brutes you will sooner or later encounter groups of chittering Markatas that will follow and harass you until you once more interact with monkeys of higher status. The monkey society is highly stratified with the Markatas at the bottom of society. Their mental faculties are barely more advanced than that of rabbits or pigeons and in my opinion it is only due to their racial similarities to the Vanara that they are considered part of the monkey people. The monkey people claim that your deeds in life will grant you a new life in another body upon death, and the Markatas are those punished for a sinful former life. If true, the sheer number of Markatas clearly demonstrates the degenerate behavior of all monkeys."
