While most reports of these abominations refer to human corpses, it is quite likely that a necromancer could reanimate dead monkey-people without having to alter his rituals to any great extent. It is a well known fact that the soul of a deceased man suffers greatly if his corpse is molested by necromantic magic. Since the monkey-people barely possess souls in the first place we should encourage necromancers to move to southern lands where they could ply their trade without risking the suffering of human souls.
