The regular Dwarf would be a poor scout or negotiator, so the Outdoor Dwarves are given the task of dealing with the outside world.  Many of us know the Dwarves to be greedy, nosy, untrustworthy and cruel, but this is most likely due to the fact that we only meet the Outdoor Dwarves, some that have even gone renegade.  While they are widely abhorred in their own society, Naso, our third biologist, claims that the Outdoor Dwarves are increasing in number and might become dominant in the future."
