Rams-Headed Serpent monster 669

newmonster "Rams-Headed Serpent"
descr "Among the legends of primordial beasts told by the druids, none is stranger than that of the Rams-Headed Serpent. This beast, according to legend, was spawned when the worlds were young and Elysium was wild and inhabited by beasts. This statement alone raises suspicion. Elysium is demonstrably wild as it is, and beasts are plentiful. To imagine a time when things were actually worse does not lend credibility to the legend at hand.^The Rams-Headed Serpent supposedly guided the first men and taught them medicine. It is also regarded as a mediator between men and beasts. However, the beast has the head of a Ram, an animal known neither for its brightness nor its diplomatic skills, but rather for its tendency to butt gate posts, random trees and passers by with its forehead, so we must ask ourselves why this strange monstrosity has been given such reverence in the druidic faith. While we can trace the beliefs in the Thrice-Horned Boar to the druids' love for pork, there is no explanation for the beliefs surrounding the Rams-Headed Serpent. To a civilized mind it is just plain silly."
