He is the ruler of the realm of the dead, and although terrible and evil, is portrayed as a less warlike than the other demon gods. The priests worshiping the Teotl probably proposes less of a threat than the followers of the other demon gods. The Aztlani claims that those who die end up in the realm of the dead under the rule of the Teotl of the Underworld. We can only be thankful if this would be true, since it would mean that we, even if we were to suffer in purgatory, would never encounter the savages in our afterlife.
